Trijicon TARS

The Trijicon TARS (Tactical Advanced Riflescope) is a 3-15x variable magnification scope, and features a 50mm-objective with an illuminated-reticle optic that is designed for tactical and sporting rifles. The premium-grade optics, exact adjustment capability, and innovative reticle systems offered on the TARS allow users to engage targets at extreme ranges.

Trijicon selected the best-quality, fully multi-coated glass for the TARS to allow maximum light transmission. A process known as “Optical Engineering Advancement” produces a generous 3.3 inches of constant eye relief while decreasing overall scope length to 13.9 inches. The 3x to 15x magnification range makes it a viable choice for a myriad of sporting and tactical applications, from LE and military operations to benchrest competition, varmint and big-game hunting.   

The TARS features an illuminated-reticle system with 10 levels of intensity, including two for use with night-vision optics. The non-forward emitting LED is significantly more efficient than current systems — one CR2032 battery provides 30,000 hours of use. Four reticle choices are available: an intuitive MOA reticle (Model 101), Trijicon-exclusive JW mil reticle (102) and two duplex versions (103 and 104). All are located in the first focal plane, allowing subtension values to remain constant across the magnification range.

The robust, 34mm main tube is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum for strength. Trijicon's mil-spec construction ensures the TARS can handle severe recoil in the harshest environments — and it’s waterproof to 66 feet. The hydrophobic coatings, on exposed lenses, ensure clarity under wet conditions. The finger-adjustable turrets are lockable and feature tactile-click adjustment for positive tracking and repeatability, while the side-mounted parallax dial provides a crisp focus from 10 feet to infinity. Removable flip-up range caps and sunshade are included.
