We recently had a chance to sit down with Allen Gottlieb from the Second Amendment Foundation and get the straight scoop about the gun related legislation — Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of 2013 (S. 649) —pending in the Senate. The following is the summary from that conversation with Gottlieb.

Who is better qualified to judge the need for new legislation regarding the ownership of firearms and accessories than front line law enforcement officers? Colorado Sheriffs have threatened new lawsuits and vowed to not enforce current legislation, and others are sure to follow.
