What is the Roadmap?

OutdoorRoadmap.com is the online source of How-to articles on hunting, target shooting and archery. Our mission is to make it easier for the new or experienced hunter, shooter or archer to become better educated, trained, and more active in the outdoor activities they love. 



Online hunter education courses are available for purchase through OutdoorRoadmap.com or direct at ormtraining.com 

OutdoorRoadmap.com also features the latest in gear and information for the enthusiast, proprietary mapping technology to assist enthusiasts with finding everything they need for the outdoors. Enthusiasts can track the weather by zip code so they know what they will be facing in the field.

A customized home page can be created featuring the enthusiasts’ interests, events in their home area, a online license wallet and more.

Management Team

Jim Moore – CEO and President

Jim has run major advertising agencies that marketed some of the world’s major brands including Jeep, Cadillac, McDonald’s, Compaq and Dodge.  As President of Remington Outdoor, Jim founded OutdoorRoadmap.com.  In 2012 Jim acquired the assets and founded Outdoor Roadmap LLC to provide an online source of How-to Articles, Latest Gear and online hunter education for the new and experienced outdoors enthusiast.

Jim got his start in the sport through involvement with his son in the Boy Scouts.  Jim continues to be an avid hunter and target shooter and looks forward to his annual pheasant hunt with his son every Christmas.  Jim’s outdoors passion extends to skiing and Mountain Climbing where he recently summited three high altitude peaks on an expedition to Ecuador.

David Dolbee – Editor

David is the Editor of OutdoorRoadmap.com.  David joins Outdoor Roadmap following a career in the outdoor publishing world as Executive Editor of Petersen’s Bowhunting and Petersen's Hunting as a noted author and authority on everything outdoors. David’s special interest began in archery both as a professional shooter and avid hunter.

Through the years, David appreciation for the shooting sports has led him to expand his horizons to include competitive shooting in Steel Challenge, 3-Gun, IDPA and F-Class rifles.

During his writing career, David has also written for several smaller publications and many major magazines such as Guns & Ammo, Shooting Times, Outdoor Life, Rifle Shooter, Bowhunter, Game & Fish Magazine, F.O.P Fraternal Order of Police, Archery Business, SHOT Business, Photographic, Teen and others.

Gary Berlin – Agency Director

As a life-long angler, hunter and outdoor enthusiast, Gary pursued college degrees and employment in the natural resource management field.  Gary spent twenty-five years with the Colorado Division of Wildlife in positions ranging from District Wildlife Manager to Investigator to Human Resource Manager and Training Director.  Gary has been a certified hunter education instructor for 32 years achieving the Master Instructor level.

In mid-career, in order to broaden his horizons, Gary obtained a Masters Degree in Public Administrationfrom the University of Colorado and moved from the biological field where he managed wildlife to the human resource management and training occupations where he lead and educated people.  Upon retirement, Gary served as the Executive Director of IHEA (International Hunter Education Association) and President of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association.

Gary now extends his outdoor enthusiasm and hunter education expertise to his role as Agency Director with Outdoor Roadmap where he will focus on working with State Agencies on the latest in online Hunter Education courses.
